Edgewater Federal Solutions provides high-end Federal Chief Information Officer consulting support to the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). Edgewater supports NNSA’s Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) in developing the strategic vision, policies and procedures for effective management of information across the NNSA enterprise. Based on applicable legislation governing information technology such as Clinger-Cohen, OMB Circular A-130, GISRA, and GPEA, Edgewater assists the NNSA OCIO in it need to maintain its liaison with the federal Chief Information Council, OMB, GAO, Congress, and other organizations. The solutions Edgewater is specifically providing include enterprise-level consulting and technical expertise in advising, designing, integrating, implementing, and documenting the following:

Edgewater is also focused on an additional initiative – providing enterprise-wide consulting support on a $25M development project that transitions NNSA from a highly-decentralized and geographically disbursed environment to a world-class, centralized IT service center. The objective of this project is to establish a “virtual” Service Center managed out of Albuquerque, New Mexico with a common operating environment that effectively and efficiently supports 12+ NNSA’s domestic and international sites. The project addresses all aspects necessary for developing a comprehensive IT Service Center including – Tier 1-3 support, classified network operations, enterprise-wide connectivity (e.g., virtual private network, continuity operations, active directory), security services, and application management. In association with the NNSA Service Center project, Edgewater is assisting NNSA in the initiation and coordination of an enterprise-wide information architecture, the development of NNSA-wide cyber security plans and processes, and the establishment of the appropriate structure and the processes required for managing the new, “virtual” NNSA IT organization.
