Benefits to working for
Edgewater Federal Solutions:
Edgewater provides a comprehensive
benefits package to all employees that will allow them to take care of
themselves and their families. Edgewater offers a wide range of plan options,
including medical, dental, and vision coverage in coordination with a Health
Savings Account (HSA) to regular, full-time and part-time employees working 30
or more hours in a work week.
Health – All regular
full-time and part-time (30 hours or more per
week) Edgewater employees are offered three
levels of healthcare services and prescription
insurance for themselves and their families—Blue
Choice HMO, Blue Choice Opt-Out Plus (POS), and
Blue Preferred (PPO). Upon employment or during
open enrollment period,
employees may opt to participate in the plan.
Edgewater covers 80% of employee healthcare
premiums and employees are responsible for the
remaining 20% of healthcare premiums. In
addition, Edgewater makes a contribution into
each employees Health Savings Account (HSA).
Health
Savings Account (HSA) - In collaboration with our
medical insurance plans, Edgewater offers employees the opportunity to
participate in a Health Savings Account. This is an account in which individuals
can save money for medical expenses.
The account has tax-savings benefits and can be accessed with a debit card.
Edgewater contributes $1,600 for employee only plans and $3,200 for family,
employee/spouse, and employee/child(ren) plans. Employees also have the option
to contribute additional funds into the account. All Federal IRS limits and
regulations apply.
Dental
– All regular full-time and part-time (30 hours or more per week) Edgewater
employees are offered dental care as well. Included in the coverage are annual
preventative services. Other dental work is covered at various percentages based
on the service provided.
Vision
– All regular full-time and part-time (30 hours or more per week) Edgewater
employees are offered vision coverage, which includes an optometric eye exam,
frames, lenses, and a discount plan for other vision options.
Life
Insurance and AD&D – All regular full-time and
part-time (30 hours or more per week) Edgewater employees are covered by a
company sponsored policy that provides up to $100,000 Life and Accidental Death
and Dismemberment coverage with the option to purchase additional coverage.
Disability
Insurance – Edgewater provides all regular full-time
employees and part-time employees (30 hours or more per week) with short-term
disability (STD) and long-term disability (LTD) at no cost. This disability
insurance provides employees with a percentage of income in the event they
become disabled.
Dependent
Care Account – Under the IRS Code, Section 125, all regular full-time
and part–time (30 hours or more per week) employees are allowed to set aside
pre-tax dollars to cover certain childcare expenses used while they are at work.
Pay Periods
– Edgewater pays employees on a semi-monthly pay period basis. Employees are
paid on the 15th and the last day of each month. Edgewater pays employees via
direct deposit.
401 (k)
– The Edgewater 401(k) retirement plan was adopted to provide employees with the
opportunity to save for retirement on a tax-deferred basis. All regular
full-time and part-time employees at least 21 years of age are eligible to
participate in the plan and to receive company-matching contributions up to 4%
upon employment. All employee and company contributions are immediately,
100% vested. This plan also provides Edgewater the ability to make additional
discretionary matches and profit sharing contributions. These latter matches and
contributions are vested based on additional eligibility criteria and a 5-year
vesting schedule.
Paid Time
Off – Edgewater has a generous leave policy,
which provides employees with time off for holidays, vacations, occasional
short-term illness and personal needs. Edgewater provides all regular full-time
employees with an accrual rate that is based on their time with the company.
Tuition and Technical Training Reimbursement – For
regular full-time employees, Edgewater will reimburse up to $5,000 per calendar
year of tuition, as well as certain other education related costs such as books.
To qualify the employee must have prior approval, the course taken must be job
related, and the employee must receive a grade of C or better.
Health Club
Reimbursement – In order to promote good health and
fitness, Edgewater offers a health club reimbursement program. Under this
program all regular full-time employees are eligible to be reimbursed for 100%
of the initial membership
fee or $100, whichever is less, and 50% of the monthly membership fees or $30
per month, whichever is less. You may belong to any health club of your
choice.
Computer Reimbursement
– Since all our employees use personal computers, Edgewater believes its
employees will be more productive on the job by promoting the use of personal
computers. This program provides regular full-time employees with
at least one year of service with Edgewater, $500 in assistance towards the
purchase of a personal computer or peripheral device. Eligible employees may use
this program to assist in purchasing a personal computer every third year after
their previous purchase.
Long-Term Commuting and Parking
Reimbursement – It is Edgewater’s policy to reimburse employees
for long-term and ongoing commuting and parking expenses
up to a maximum of $200 per month for mass transit and/or parking expenses. Such
reimbursements are intended to address expenses incurred by employees (on a
regular basis) in getting to and from their place of work and will be approved
by Edgewater’s Management on a case-by-case basis.
Employee Assistance Program
– In an effort to address the work-life issues of our employees and help our
employees lead healthier and more productive lives, Edgewater provides all
employees access to guidance resources and consultants via a 24-hour toll-free
line and online site powered by ComPsych, a leader in Employee Assistance.
